About EasyVas Africa

Our Vasectomy Services

EasyVas aims to make vasectomy available to all individuals who do not wish to have any more children. Vasectomy is a surgical procedure, usually done under local anaesthetic (LA) as an outpatient procedure, to interrupt the vas deferens (vas) with the intention to provide permanent contraception. The vas is a tube that delivers sperm from the testicles. Vasectomy works by closing off each vas deferens, keeping sperm out of semen. Semen is ejaculated, but it does not contain any sperm, so cannot cause pregnancy. EasyVas recommends the minimally invasive “no-scalpel” vasectomy in which only a single small puncture in the skin is made using specially designed forceps, and no stitches.
