Everything you need to know about EasyVas
Vasectomy is a surgical procedure for men who have decided not to have more, or any, children.
Most men return to normal activities within a few days. However, it is recommended to avoid strenuous physical activity for 1 week to allow proper healing.
At EasyVas clinics across Kenya, the entire vasectomy procedure typically takes no more than 15 minutes.
A vasectomy is not painful during the procedure. It is performed using local anaesthetic or IV sedation, and most men feel only mild discomfort or pressure. Afterwards, some men may experience mild pain, swelling, or bruising, which typically settles within a few days.
Temporary post-procedure effects can include mild pain, bruising and
local swelling for a few days.
Vasectomy is not associated with any known health risks.
Our vasectomy doctors perform only the most modern, effective and safe vasectomy procedure method (no scalpel, open-ended vasectomy) and only use technologies approved for use in Kenya and globally.
Our painless anaesthetic delivery technique is the benchmark in vasectomy procedures. The painless needle technique has been found to reduce sensations of pain caused by the local anaesthetic needle for most patients. As the largest vasectomy provider in Kenya, we offer our clients the gold standard vasectomy procedure known as ‘no scalpel, open-ended vasectomy. Our doctors are trained in the ‘painless needle’ technique, which is a method used by global lead surgeons to reduce the discomfort involved in delivering local anaesthetic.
No referral from your doctor is required to have a vasectomy procedure. Simply contact us, and we can organise a pre-care consultation and book you straight in for a vasectomy appointment. While a vasectomy procedure only takes 15 minutes, it requires specialist skill and training to minimise the risk of pain from the procedure and during recovery.
Your consultation and vasectomy procedure will occur on the same day with a specialist vasectomy doctor.
Vasectomy is very effective, but in rare cases it can fail for these simple reasons:
Vasectomy works only after follow-up testing confirms no sperm.
A vasectomy should be considered as a permanent form of male birth control, however, vasectomy reversal is possible, although not always successful and not always covered by insurance.
